CasinoMentor is an independent guide to regulated online casinos for Canadian players. We exist for one reason: to do the slow, boring verification work — checking licences, timing payouts, reading bonus terms in full — so you can pick an operator with eyes open.

Our Editorial Standards

We don't accept payment in exchange for higher rankings. Our rankings are based on a 40-point rubric covering licensing, payouts, game library, mobile UX, customer support, complaint history and responsible gambling tools. We do disclose that we earn affiliate commissions when readers visit an operator through our links — but commission rates do not affect rankings, and we'll tell you about an operator's flaws even when we have a partnership.

Every review is dated and re-verified at least once every 12 months. Bonus terms, processing times and licensing status change; if a review is older than 12 months it carries a "verify before depositing" notice at the top.

Our Review Methodology

Each operator is tested with a real account funded from a Canadian bank. We:

  • Verify the provincial licence number against the AGCO / iGaming Ontario registry (or the equivalent provincial registry).
  • Make at least one Interac e-Transfer deposit and one withdrawal, and time the round-trip.
  • Read the full bonus terms and document wagering requirements, time limits and excluded games.
  • Time the live-chat response during business hours and outside business hours.
  • Check published RNG audit reports (eCOGRA, iTech Labs, GLI).
  • Check the responsible gambling tools available without contacting support.

We do not score operators we have not personally tested.
